Local village government needed their site rebuilt from the ground up to better reach and help their community.
Solution
Built a brand new site and migrated over all relevant data. Clients requested an events calendar and a way to post updates about community news.

Need for an Upgrade
The original site necessitated the creation of a new site; however, much of the content needed to be retained. I migrated a stripped down version of the old site to a new environment to retain the relevant data.
Community Updates
The client requested a way to post updates about community events and news while displaying the most recent update on the home page. Using PHP, I linked the latest post to the home page and gave them the ability to post their own updates.
Community Events
Ensuring that details about community events are easily accessible on the site was a priority. I implemented an event plugin named “The Events Calendar” to the site and created custom styles to better match the rest of the site.
